Statue of Dr Shoichiro Toyoda installed at Toyoda Auditorium

 Past NUAL President Dr Shoichiro Toyoda, who passed away last February, contributed immensely to Nagoya University and to NUAL. In recognition of his great achievements, Nagoya University and NUAL jointly commissioned a bust of Dr Toyoda in the Toyoda Auditorium.
 An unveiling ceremony was held on October 10th, and was attended by Chairman of the Toyota Motor Corporation Akio Toyoda, NUAL President (and Executive Adviser, NGK Insulators, Ltd.) Masaharu Shibata, Director of Tokai National Higher Education and Research System Seiichi Matsuo, and Nagoya University President Naoshi Sugiyama.
 We would urge you to come by Toyoda Auditorium next time you pay a visit to Nagoya University.
